Scope: Structural design of restaurant and lift terminal development at the summit of Falls Creek ski resort
Design Considerations:
High snow and wind loading due to location at the top of the mountain
Construction completed over 3 summers with the building operating each winter
Integrating a new structure with an existing building, which dates back to its initial construction in 1985 and has undergone three subsequent additions
Design of temporary works
Project Features: The building is located at 1600m above sea level and is one of the highest buildings in Australia
