Matt Kusz
BackMatt Kusz is an Engineering Cadet at KUSCH and is currently studying Civil Engineering at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). He began his career in the engineering industry in 2025 and is developing his skills while working alongside experienced engineers on project work. In his role at KUSCH, Matt supports the design of seismic bracing systems that prevent pipework, ductwork and cable trays from moving during seismic events. This work contributes to the safety and reliability of building services within structures. Through this experience, he is gaining practical exposure to engineering design and collaboration within multidisciplinary project teams.
Matt has worked on projects across Victoria, Queensland and NSW, and enjoys the opportunity to learn from colleagues while contributing to problem-solving and project delivery. He finds working collaboratively with his team and helping to resolve engineering challenges particularly rewarding.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys playing music, skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing and participating in team sports. Growing up in Mount Beauty fostered his passion for outdoor activities and adventure, while his family background also inspired his interest in music.
