Client: Foresight Engineering Services Limited
Scope: Third-party verification of design loads (snow, wind & ice) and primary structural elements on the lift towers for Leitner-Poma, the US-based chairlift supplier.
Design Considerations: This project required in depth understanding of operational requirements for the resort lift infrastructure and application of local knowledge in assessment of design loads.
Project Features: A detachable chairlift accessing the top of Falls Creek Resort, the lift infrastructure is exposed to hostile winter weather where 100+ km/hr wind events and severe icing are a regular occurrence.
