Scope: Structural design of several facilities for the new Rockbank Campus, including 2-storey classrooms, gymnasium & workshops
Design Achievements: Modular steel framing fabricated off-site substantially reduced the project construction program by approximately 10 weeks, allowing the buildings to be ready for the start of the school year.
Design Highlights: Classrooms were constructed using prefabricated modular steel frames. Frames were fabricated off-site and stacked in position before being bolted together.
Design Considerations: Transport size, suitability for lifting and finally structural capacity during use were all key considerations in the design of the individual modules.
